A Winner Award is a type of promotional card given to winners of various official tournaments.

Details

Usually they are cards that are released in a coming expansion and are alternate artwork foil cards, often treated with foil used in Super Rares. Their card power and price vastly varies between card to card, with low-usability cards such as Galaga, White Ogre and Pepper Silva of Betrayal being cheap cards that can be bought for 100 to 300 yen, while others such as Ragnarok, the Clock, Death Gate, Gate of Hell and Emeralda, Pitch Dragon Elemental selling in a price that is the same or higher than Victory Rares and Double Victory cards. Due to their high prices and low availability as well as the fact that regular players are incapable of winning any tournaments, getting them can be highly difficult and most players obtain them by buying singles from the internet or at card stores. Nevertheless, the price for useful cards are extremely high and are basically unreachable for players with little or no money.

After Episode 2, every 2 months there will be a promotional card which is a past useful card. Despite most of them can be easily obtained in normal booster packs without much trouble, due to a vainglory status people started competing for these cards, which is extremely difficult for newcomers and people with little or no income. Due to this, in the start of Revolution this is abandoned, with the last card being Reckless Cut Scrapper.

Now the awards of completing an official tournament is a deck case and the distribution of winner promos are determined by a Rock-Paper-Scissors match.
