They are extremely difficult to summon as the player must protect and evolve a creature for at least 2 turns.
Many early ultimate evolution creatures tend to have an ability that directly links to victory, such as Skull Moon, the Enlightened's ability to destroy any creature regardless of what is protecting it due to the double substitution effect.
However, it is interesting to know that some ultimate evolution creatures are outclassed by regular evolution creatures or creatures.
