- I don't think we will ever get a clear consensus, as it always seems to differ on a card-by-card basis. Fire Birds keep the katakana name...but others like this "work" with either of these choices. Water cards have always seemed to have a strict translation (and easy) of doing cards, as Kanji is rarer. Going from dm1-12, most cards always seemed to keep the same name.
