Super Soul Raid is a keyword exclusive to Neo Creatures and G-Neo Creatures.
Details[]
When you put a Neo Creature or G-Neo Creature with this ability into the battle zone, reveal the top 3 cards of your deck. You may choose one card among them that can be an evolution source of that Neo Creature and they are put under that creature. The rest are put on the bottom of your deck in any order.
As it specifies "a card that can be an evolution source of this creature," if a creature that doesn't have an Evolution ability gains this ability (such as Madan = Low, Abyssal Furnace), then no card can be put under them.
This ability provides the following advantages:
- By adding an evolution source after the creature enters as a Neo Creature, it is treated as a Neo Evolution Creature. This allows it to function as a Pseudo Speed Attacker even without having an evolution source prepared beforehand.
- If the creature is a G-Neo Creature, it also gains the removal resistance granted to G-Neo Evolution Creatures.
- When a Neo Creature with this ability is bounced or leaves the battle zone through Revolution Change, multiple cards can be returned to your hand.
- It can be used to enable Super Soul Cross abilities.
- After resolving Super Soul Raid, the added card may become a target for Card Based Removal, allowing for Degenerate-based strategies.
Many of the Neo Creatures in the Royal Road Double block use civilization-specific creatures as evolution sources, so by matching the civilizations and using a nearly full-creature deck, you can reliably use them as Neo Evolution Creatures.
Naturally, you can also trigger Super Soul Raid after evolving from a creature already in the battle zone. In that case, the creature will have two evolution sources. While this usually doesn't grant Board Advantage and may be avoided, it becomes viable in combo setups—for example, to trigger multiple Super Soul Cross abilities or to increase an ability such as the Attack Trigger of Alphadios, Royal Guide Spirit Lord.
Currently, the only G-Neo Creature with Super Soul Raid is Jashin = Vritgard, Ultimate Shell, although Quasar Love Expansion, Super Love Galaxy has a similar effect of putting a creature under itself with a Come Into Play ability, functioning like a pseudo Super Soul Raid.
Although the mechanics differ, this ability is thematically and functionally similar to Mad Deck Evolution:
- Since it facilitates playing evolution creatures more easily, it synergizes well with other evolution keywords such as Ultimate Evolution.
There are other keyword abilities that add a card underneath a creature via a triggered ability after it enters the battle zone, such as Forbidden Star Evolution and Upper Go.
- Upper Go is used by non-evolution creatures without a defined evolution source, but it sidesteps this by putting the card Face Down. Forbidden Star Evolution uses race-based conditions, so it also avoids inconsistency.
While the ability of Shinkarise allowing creatures to evolve over a tamaseed would only be usable in the battle zone, Super Soul Raid is able to reference this ability as making them a valid evolution source if they are revealed in the top 3 cards of your deck.
As this ability begins with "When you put" this creature, it can be prevented by abilities like that of Gyaia, Ground Seal Dragon.

Trivia[]
- The name “Super Soul Raid” likely comes from combining 超魂 (Chōkon), the generic prefix for evolution-source-related abilities in the Royal Road blocks such as from Super Soul Cross, and Mechraid (メクレイド, Mekureido), which shares the mechanic of "revealing 3 cards from the top of your deck and using one."
