Stalling is the action of intentional slow play during tournament gameplay.
Details[]
It is an act of stalling one's own turn by either pretending to be in thought or by checking the multiple zones repeatedly. It is mostly done to gain victory by having more shields then the opponent in timed duels and is commonly applied when one is out of options and fears defeat.
Various methods may be used to obtain a victory by stalling;
- Sending out multiple creatures with Blocker and not attacking while preventing deck-out by both players using cards such as Cyber N World.
- Initiating loops without doing anything to hamper the opponent.
- Discarding the opponent constantly while shuffling all cards in each player's deck after specific amounts of cards are in the graveyard.
- Summoning cards such as Completely Unidentified or Insight Indigo Kaiser .
