Shou Godai is the protagonist of the Duel Jack!! series of the Duel Masters manga series.
Plot[]
He is a junior high student and his brother is a junior duelist. His younger brother wanted to look up to his brother as a duelist so he became one for the sake of his brother. He defeated many duelist on his way upwards, he even find his younger brother's lover girl friend.
Soon, he realized his potential in the card game and started to implement his deck after every opponent he defeated. He started with a simple Fire Civilization rush deck and started to realize he needs a stronger deck with stronger cards for which he needed more mana as well and so combined his deck with Nature Civilization which would help his ace card. He then learned of multicolored cards and met his rival Hagi who was a perfect example for him to learn in making his deck perfect since Hagi used Light Civilization as the main Civilization in his deck.
Finally he perfected his deck with multicolored and Light Civilization cards and became the first Junior High Champion in the history of Duel Masters. Due to his way of dueling in which he would enjoy the game no matter what and played almost like a heroic character for his younger brother, he was given the title of "Duel Jack!!".

He began by using a Fire Civilization deck.
He later added additional nature cards to the deck.
To further power the deck, he added a new "ace" card:
His first deck simply used swift attacks by using low cost creatures.
His second deck was highly concentrated on increasing mana, since his previous opponent used a mana destruction deck against him.

His final deck attempted tap creatures by using Light Civilization cards, and then using his Heavyweight Dragon to destroy them so that his opponent wouldn't be able to attack. By bringing his opponent to a halt and when the field is clear, he attacks his opponent when he has a battle zone full of creatures to take out his opponent in one go.
