Shinkapower is an ability word.

Whenever you evolve a card that has the Shinkapower ability word, an ability triggers.
The ability was initially featured on cards with the creature card type (as well as one evolution creature), but also later appeared on tamaseeds.

- Shinkapower is a Trigger Ability
- If a creature evolves into a creature that has a Come Into Play ability, you can resolve them in any order.
- If a creature that tries to evolve fails due to a Replacement Effect, Shinkapower doesn't trigger.
- Shinkapower only triggers when the creature was in the battle zone.
- It doesn't trigger if used as an evolution source for abilities such as mana evolution, hand evolution, graveyard evolution or deck evolution.
- When a creature with Shinkapower evolves, the trigger source of the Shinkapower ability is still the former creature with Shinkapower.
- Therefore, if a creature that has Shinkapower that costs 5 or less is ignored by Genmu Emperor, Infinite Dragon, even if it evolves to a creature that costs 6 or more, Shinkapower doesn't trigger.
