Shield Trigger Plus is a Shield Trigger keyword.
Details[]
Like Shield Trigger, you are able to use the card with Shield Trigger Plus that was broken as a shield and added to your hand for no cost. However, it gives you an extra ability if 2 or more of your shields have been broken during your opponent's turn.
- In the anime series, this is known as a "Plus Effect".
While the conditions are less strict than Super Shield Trigger (requiring no shields), you can only get these additional abilities during your opponent's turn.
The ability aim to prevent 'Oneshot' deck tactics, allowing for reversal.
- In order to avoid the ability, you would be forced to break shields one at a time between turns, without using other Breaker abilities.

- While it designates your opponent's turn, it doesn't specify which player broke the shields.
- Therefore, if you used a card such as Brain Slash to put Necrodragon Abryze Dolba into the battle zone, you will have broken multiple shields, and as its your opponent's turn, you can use the Shield Trigger Plus ability.
- Any shields that are broken at the same time as the card with the Shield Trigger Plus keyword being added to your hand are added to the turn's break count.
- A card with Shield Trigger Plus may be added to your hand with non-break methods.
- If in some way you were to cast a spell such as Hansai Beyond Good and Evil with Changethe, Dragon Armored Ship / Fourth of the Six Bizarre ~Earth Breaking Waterfall~ (and Emergency Typhoon) during your opponents turn, as 2 shields were returned, you could use the Shield Trigger Plus ability.

- As the cards don't "break", traditional Break Replacement Effects can prevent this ability.
- The "Plus Effect" is mandatory to use.
- This is generally not an issue as you can decide whether you want to use the Shield Trigger Plus and summon/cast the card, but if you wanted to summon a creature such as Daidai, Marching Baton you would be forced to remove your own creatures.
- This could also be dangerous if you opponent has effects that trigger when their cards are chosen (such as Gaiginga, Passionate Star Dragon or Red ABYTHEN Kaiser).
- This is generally not an issue as you can decide whether you want to use the Shield Trigger Plus and summon/cast the card, but if you wanted to summon a creature such as Daidai, Marching Baton you would be forced to remove your own creatures.
