Shield Go is keyword shared among each of the five monocolored civilizations.
Details[]
Shield Go enables a creature to be put into the shield zone as a face up shield when they are destroyed. When the face up shield would leave the shield zone, it will be put into the graveyard as if the creature was destroyed. Most of them tend to have an effect when they are in the Shield Zone face up, while other cards have effects if a face up shield is present.

Rulings[]
- Q: Do I have to use the ability when my creature is destroyed?
- A: Yes. Even if your creature is destroyed in battle, or was destroyed by a spell or ability that creature must be put face up in your shield zone as a new shield.
- Q: Some cards with a "Shield Go" ability (such as Ikari, Hustle Commander) have an ability that is active while they are face up in your shield zones. If the card with the "Shield Go" ability leaves your shield zone, what happens?
- A: For this example, when Ikari, Hustle Commander is face up in your shield zone, its effect triggers when your creatures attack. This turn, you may draw a card from your deck when one of your creatures attacks. However, if Ikari, Hustle Commander leaves the shield zone from some ability in the middle of your creatures attacking, you can't draw cards from you later creatures attacking.
- Even if its put into the shield zone in a way other than this ability, if it leaves the shield zone zone while face up by an ability such as "Aqua Master", it will be put into your graveyard.
- Due to the "Double Substitution" rule as both the Shield Go creature and other card uses "instead", you may put the creature with Shield Go into your hand with cards such as Leosaiyu, Beast Cathedral or the Escape keyword.
