Salvage is a term for returning a card from your graveyard to your hand.

Details

Salvage creatures is a basic tactic of the Darkness Civilization, represented by a card such as Moors, the Dirty Digger Puppet. Cards of these abilities allow you to re-use Come Into Play and Put Into Graveyard an additional time.

Salvaging spells is also found in the Light Civilization, but in fewer numbers. Chief De Baula, Machine King of Mystic Light is seen as the most common example of this effect.

Although it departs from the usual definition, they care cards that put cards from your graveyard into your mana zone, allowing other cards to return them to your hand. This was seen in decks utilizing Bliss Totem, Avatar of Luck and Mystic Dreamscape together, allowing you to form a loop with the other cards returned to your hand.

Rather than passing from your graveyard to your hand and then into the battle zone, putting a creature directly from your graveyard into the battle zone is known as Reanimate.

This term is synonymous with Graveyard Recovery.
