  • Q: If the top card of a Vortex Evolution creature is put into the mana zone by Royal Durian's effect, do all cards under the Vortex Evolution creature remain in the battle zone?
    • A: Yes. Only the top card is placed into owners mana zone. Each card previously under the Vortex Evolution creature are placed back into the battle zone as they were before being evolved.
  • Q: If the top card of a Mana, Deck or Grave Evolution creature is put into the mana zone by Royal Durian's effect, do all cards under the Evolution creature remain in the battle zone?
    • A: Yes. Since only the top card leaves the battle zone, any card(s) under the evolution remain in the battle zone, despite being in the mana zone, deck or graveyard beforehand.
  • Q: If the cards underneath the evolution creature is also an evolution creature, like in the case of a phoenix or an ultimate evolution creature, what happens to the base evolution card(s)?
    • A: If it has an evolution source under it, it stays. If it is an evolution creature card without an evolution source, it is removed from the battle zone instantly.
  • Q: If this creature devolves a creature, particularly a vortex or greater, does the evolution source have summoning sickness?
    • A: Yes. If the evolution creature is devolved in the same turn that it is put into the battle zone, then the evolution source(s) will have summoning sickness, unless they have the "speed attacker" ability. However, if the evolution creature is devolved in a subsequent turn, then the evolution source(s) will no longer have summoning sickness.
  • Q: If this creature devolves a creature, do the evolution source's 'enter the battle zone' effects trigger?
    • A: No, the evolution source's 'enter the battle zone' wont occur because they are considered to have been in the battle zone after Royal Durian's effect is resolved.
  • Q: Can Warlord Ailzonius and other creatures that "cant be chosen by abilities" be affected by Royal Durian's effect?
    • A: Yes, since Royal Durian's effect doesn't choose creatures.
