Rock-Paper-Scissors (known in Japan as Janken) is a game played as a method of pseudo-random selection for certain card's effects.
Details[]
It is a game played by two people, where both players simultaneously form one of three shapes with their outstretched hand.
The "rock" beats scissors, the "scissors" beat paper and the "paper" beats rock; if both players throw the same shape, the game is tied.
Unlike other Trading Card Games which might require coins or dice for keeping track of certain card effects, the game of Duel Masters doesn't use non-card items, whereas the Rock-Paper-Scissors only require a player to use their physical hand.
While Rock-Paper-Scissors abilities don't equal weak abilities, it is generally considered unreliable and unfavorable by players as, unlike the Deck Building elements of Gachinko Judge, it's seen as completely luck-based and is seen as not worth the risk, as a fail at the Rock-Paper-Scissors game will often result in a Quasi-Vanilla creature.
