Reveal is a keyword action.
Details[]
It is the act of showing a card from your hand or deck to your opponent. This term is different from Look where only you are allowed to see the cards you view.
Cards such as the Aquan line of creatures also well known for the hand adding-based revealed card effect.

Water / Creature Cyber Lord |
■ When you put this creature into the battle zone, you may reveal the top 5 cards of your deck. Put all light and darkness cards from the revealed cards into your hand and put the rest into your graveyard. |
The Balga family of creatures is commonly known for their effect based on their original creature, Magmadragon Balga Geyser in which the top card of your deck is revealed.

Fire / Creature Volcano Dragon 5000+ |
■ Whenever this creature attacks, you may reveal the top card of your deck. If that card is a Dragon put that card into the battle zone. If it's not a Dragon, put that card into your graveyard. |
Many powerful cards such as The Door of Miracle and Mystery, or the cards based on it; Hogan Blaster and Mystery Cube use the reveal game action to allow you to play cards for no cost. To prevent them from being abuse-able in combo decks, the latter 2 cards require the deck to be shuffled before you reveal the top card of your deck.

Shield trigger (When this spell is put into your hand from your shield zone, you may cast it immediately for no cost.) |
Most cards that allow you to search your deck for a specific type of card (such as Dimension Gate or Logic Cube) tell you to show your opponent to certify the card that you chose as a form of cheating prevention. Many of these cards also only use 見せ (Mise) to mean "show".
