Reset is a form of removal that returns a zone to its initial state.
Details[]
It is used to set any advantage a player has over another back to zero.
Cards of this nature often destroy all creatures in the battle zone, or all cards in a specific zone.

Shield trigger (When this spell is put into your hand from your shield zone, you may cast it immediately for no cost.) |
9 Upheaval |

Darkness / Spell |
Shield trigger (When this spell is put into your hand from your shield zone, you may cast it immediately for no cost.) |
If your opponent has a lead in field advantage on the battle zone, it is more efficient to use a form of Mass Removal rather than be controlled.
Apocalypse Day is a standard reset card. A card such as Steamroller Mutant is also conditional of requiring other Wave Striker cards, but is still considered to be a reset card. Cards that destroy multiple non-specific creatures such Ballcadeias, Overlord of Demons and Ballom, Master of Death are also known as a reset.
While it most commonly refers to the state of the battle zone, it can also refer to the mana zone or hand.
Examples include Cyber N World and Upheaval. A card such as Purification Trap can also act as anti-meta choice against Graveyard source deck types.
As the cards tend to effect both players, attention should be paid to handle the drawbacks of playing them.
- Even if you only destroyed your opponents creatures with Reckless Cut Scrapper or Blazing Tiger, Crimson Lord, it may still be expressed as resetting the battle zone.
Among them all, All Delete is an unparalleled Reset card that removes all cards in each players shield, hand, and battle zone.
