Duel Masters Wiki

Prince Kaiser (also known as Duel Prince) is a rival in the Duel Masters WIN anime series.

Details[]

He is the leader of D4, the strongest Duema team in the world. He is also the president of a large company, even though he's a junior high school student.

He is admired by all duelists, including Win Kirifuda (before they undergo a mutual rivalry), and is said to be the strongest Bolshack user. However, he is also an extremely cold and brutal man not unlike Hakuoh in the original manga. He views anyone who lost to him in a duel as worthless, despises the idea of dueling for fun and will fire any employee who lost to him, of which included Win's father and later, Bowie. He also bears a strong hatred against Jashin due to the creature killing his mother when he was young. Despite this, he does have some standards and lines he won't cross. For example, when Fargo cheated against Win, he acted as if he didn't see it, but had his entire group distance himself away from him behind his back.

Appearance[]

With his lengthy, violet locks and piercing grey eyes, Prince Kaiser presents himself in a distinct fashion.

He adorns a black turtleneck, embellished with a pendant featuring a crimson gemstone, coupled with a long white shirt, which showcases two red crests on the chest. Furthermore, he sports a pair of red trousers and white dress shoes.

Anime[]

During his childhood, Kaiser lived in a space station with his mother. However, she was killed in an space station crash caused by Abyssbell = Jashin Emperor and was saved by Bolshack Kaiser, Dragon Emperor of Booming Flame. Bolshack Kaiser became his bodyguard, taking the form of a muscle-bound man.

Duel Masters WIN[]

As the leader of D4, Prince Kaiser has gained immense popularity and was looking upon by Win. Initially appearing as a charismatic personality, he fired Win Kirifuda's father, Guts Kirifuda despite his nonchalant attitude after winning a duel against him, burning his deck and making spiteful remarks calling him weak, which made him an enemy of Win Kirifuda. He then proceeded to defeat Win and left after calling him a waste of time for him. The hostility is mutual as Win has bonded with the creature that killed his mother, and Kaiser is more than willing to get rid of Jashin to avenge her. Karen is secretly working for him to get rid of Win and Jashin.

During episode 24 to 25, Win duels Kaiser in one decisive battle. Despite getting an upper hand for most of the battle, Kaiser is defeated when Win reveals a last-minute silver bullet card, a Miraculous Truce, from his final shield.

Duel Masters WIN: Duel Wars[]

Kaiser is now the leader of the Maihama student council, initially consisted of Bowie, Issa Mogamigawa and Fargo Kasumigaseki. Due to Bowie Obochiyama's losing streak, he tests his skills to see if he is really fit to be part of D4 by pitting him against Karen (who joined him to protect Duema Saiko Club from Fargo's spiteful actions). Karen won with her new trump card Chaosmantra, Holy and replaces Bowie as a member of D4.

During the Cultural Festival, he overseers the duel between Fargo and Issa that was interrupted by Win trying to get back on Fargo. He knew that Fargo was cheating but did not take action immediately, but that (alongside Win pleasing him by serving dishes to him after the duel) had him give Fargo the silent, cold treatment and barring him from all major D4 meetings. He also got Duema Saiko Club 1st place and prevented them from disbanding due to Fargo's manipulations.

When most of Maihama academy's students become zombies courtesy of the unknown mice draining life energy from its students and faculty, Kaiser and the rest of D4 were a part of investigating the unknown culprit. In Episode 41, after hearing investigation reports with the rest of D4 including Fargo, he heard a voice resembling his mother coming from the goddess statue, claiming that Jashin-kun was the one turning people into zombies. The voice made Kaiser believe that Jashin was the culprit. Wanting to protect the school and avenge his mother, he requests Bolshack Kaiser to evolve into a stronger form. Despite the bodyguard's initial resistance because of the danger posed by the Fire Civilization's sun, he went along with Kaiser's decision to better protect the school, and opens a portal to the creature world where the dragon will hurdle over the sun and gain greater power. Bolshack Kaiser passes the trial and turns into Bolshack Bakuterasu, Dragon Emperor God with Kaiser preparing to confront Win and get rid of Jashin in a bid to take out the culprit of the latest incident and his mother's killer.

In actuality, the voice does not come from his mother or the goddess, but DARK MATERIAL COMPLEX (whose lair is somewhere inside the main chapel) speaking through Ugata using the voice of Kaiser's mother to misdirect him.

Kaiser disbands D4 out of a fit of rage and absorbs the sun and Bakuterasu's power onto himself right after gaining his new trump card, allowing him to create horrifying shockwaves. He then heads to Win's direction wielding Bolshack Bakuterasu, Dragon Emperor God trying to kill Jashin-kun to avenge his mother and get rid of the supposed culprit who is turning people into zombies in Maihama academy. In actuality, he was manipulated by DARK MATERIAL COMPLEX and became a delusional madman. Bowie intercepts him on the way and engages him to a duel only to be effortlessly defeated by his Bolshack Bakuterasu and heavily injured in the duel. Bowie tries to plea with him to no avail only for Win to show up and intercept him, challenging him to a Duel. Unlike the previous few encounters with Kaiser, Win was extremely confident that he will be able to win against him this time and is mostly unfazed even when Kaiser is infested with dark mana caused by his rage and creates a seemingly unwinnable board against him, telling the madman that he went against everything he want to become by being surrounded with dark mana and he should snap out of his madness. Win defeats him by making full use of Abyssbell = Deathbell = Jashin Emperor's abilities, allowing him to survive an Apocalypse Day from Kaiser and win.

After his defeat, his Bolshack Kaiser bodyguard dies and fades into light, as he mourns him in tears and regains his sanity. However, Ugata, having been defeated and trapped Professor Ripper and taking a heroic form, arrives alongside DARK MATERIAL COMPLEX to harvest his dark mana. Unlike Complex's other victims, Kaiser does not turn into a zombie, but is still too weak to fight, having to order Fargo to stall the robot Ugata summoned while Win tracks his rampaging friend down.
