  • Q: In DM-14, there are creatures and spells that lower other creatures' power such as Bangren, Ancient Arhat and Toxic Vibe, as well as cross gear such as Powered Stallion that double the crossed creature's power. If effects that raise a creature's power, effects that lower it, and effects that double it are all applied to the same creature, how should the creature's power be calculated?
    • A: First, look at the creature's power on the bottom left of the card. From there, add any "+ X power" effects on the s, cross gear, and other creatures. After that, subtract any "- Y power" effects in the same way. After all that is done, if there is a card that says "the creature's power is doubled", then you double it. Please always use this order when calculating a creature's power. The order these effects were applied in doesn't make a difference.
  • This card doubles the crossed creature's base power and all power modifiers that affect the creature, even those effects that occur after crossing the creature (like power attacker). For ease of calculation, simply ignore the cross gear's effect until after you calculate the creature's power otherwise based on whatever else is modifying it, and then as the very last step of calculation, double that last subtotal.
    • Example: If you have a single Fist Ace, the Meteoric in the battle zone and it's battling while crossed, this 1000 power creature will get +1000 from hunting for a subtotal of 2000. You then double that amount for the creature's total power: 4000.
  • Q: If a creature is crossed with multiple copies of this cross gear, what happens?
    • A: The power of the creatures gets doubled for each copy of a crossed Powered Stallion, so if the power is enough to trigger the cross gear's additional breaker effects, the creature gains the "Double breaker" or "Triple breaker" ability as well.
      • Example: If you have a single Fist Ace, the Meteoric in the battle zone and it's battling a creature while crossed with 2 copies of Powered Stallion, this 1000 power creature will get +1000 from the "Hunting" ability for a subtotal of 2000. Double that subtotal for the creature's new subtotal power: 4000. Double that amount for its total power: 8000. Since this number is greater than 6000, it would gain the "Double breaker" ability. (However, since it is battling a creature, the Double Breaker ability would have no effect in this case).
