Peeping is the act of looking at your opponent's hand due to a card effect.
Details[]
Examples of the effect include;
2 Grape Globbo |
---|
Water / Creature Cyber Virus 1000 |
■ When you put this creature into the battle zone, look at your opponent's hand. |
4 Jenny, the Dismantling Puppet |
---|
Darkness / Creature Death Puppet 1000 |
■ When you put this creature, look at your opponent's hand and discard a card from it. |
Although the advantage of only viewing your opponent's hand is 0, its seen as valuable as you can see your opponent's play options, including removal, combo pieces, or mana accidents. An early turn 2 Mind Reset can be used tactically to be able to read your opponent's movements for the next turns, and possibly counteract their plays.
- While Spell Del Fin, Light Divine Dragon is in the battle zone, cards that discard at random (such as Ghost Touch) may still be used. The cards are still chosen in a random method.
- There are ways to peep at your opponents deck with cards in the "Slash" series; Hell Slash, Slash Charger and Future Slash. These cards all entered the Hall of Fame, and is now only seen on the Accelerator ability of Gigazanda.
