Mono-Fire rush
赤単速攻 (Akatan sokkō)
Dmwiki.net: Article

Mono-Fire rush is a Monocolored Rush deck type.

Details[]

It consists of low-cost creatures in the Fire Civilization.

Fire is the archetypal civilization for a rush deck.

The main reason to use mono-fire is the use of Zyler's Lighter and Onikirimaru.

It is a very powerful deck type in Revolution due to the appearance of Gatling, Sonic which is a high-power double breaker creature that can be sent on the second turn due to its Invasion ability and is resilient to scrapper cards, including their newest form, Sturm, Scrapper due to its seemingly useless Power Attacker +1000.

In the Duel Masters (DMRP Block) metagame, players used a new creature to base their win condition around; Bad Brand. By summoning many Cost 1 creatures, Bad Brand made applying pressure to the opponent much more consistent and explosive. Later, in the Twinpact Series metagame, this decktype continued to recieve support in the form of Gogogo Brand and many creatures with the Gogogo Gangan Galaxy keyword. However, eventually Gogogo Brand was restricted to 1 copy in the Hall of Fame.

In the Gacharange Series metagame, this decktype began to reappear including BAKUOOON Mizzail. The strategy maintained the same, summon various Fire Civilization weenies to then use BAKUOOON Mizzail to perform a one shot. Things such as TEKUTEKU Bonbahei and CATWAE Nekopon were added as early ways to Gacharange Summon as well.

Mono-Fire Valborg[]

Another, similar type of mono-Fire rush uses various 2-cost Humans and Divine Machine Armor Valborg, a 3-cost creature that has double breaker.

Recommended cards: Reason:
Choya, the Unheeding Block-negating Human
Divine Machine Armor Valborg The center of the deck
Duel Jacker Shou, the Hot-Blooded Commentator Pseudo-speed attacker, pseudo-high powered Human
Masato, the Marauding Captain Pseudo-speed attacker Human
Ultimate Soldier Falgen High-powered cost 2 Human

In the current meta, mono-Fire Valborg would likely do poorly; this is partly due to the influence of DMD-01 Start Dash Deck: Fire & Nature, which introduced and reprinted several powerful cards for Fire Nature rush, outshining mono-Fire Valborg (but not mono-Fire rush, completely). Valborg can still be used by integrating it into such a deck, which has the powerful 2-cost Fire/Nature Humans Gonta, the Warrior Savage and Taiga, the Warrior Savage.

As an insult to injury, Gatling, Sonic, a much more powerful and faster creature with an Invasion ability that allows it to be sent on the second turn appeared and this deck type had gone extinct.
