Mechraid is a keyword action.

It first appeared in the Abyss Revolution block.
It is the act of looking at the top 3 cards of your deck, and using a card from among them with a specified cost for no cost. The rest of the cards are then put at the bottom of your deck.

Each civilization uses this Mechraid keyword action with a different Race Category.
If you use a creature card, it's considered a summon, so isn't affected by anti-meta cards such as Testa Rossa, Survival Star that affects cards that are put "in any way except by summoning".
- They are, however, affected by cards that prevent you from looking at your deck, such as Mestapo, the Patroller, Q.Q.QX. / Final Burial Five Sense Down or cards that prevent you from putting cards from your deck into zones other than the hand, such as Duema Ogre! Kikuchi, Assistant Instructor or Kareiko's Shadow.
- A card such as Primal Giant or Tekara, Inspection Guard can also prevent creatures being put into the battle zone.
Each civilization has different conditions (in most cases) to use a card with the Mechraid action.
- However, Fire appears to have no conditions, similar to cards in the past such as Magmadragon Balga Geyser.

The Darkness civilization has some disadvantages, such as Suicide and reseting its own graveyard, and some have no disadvantages at all.
Spells that only have a Mechraid may not fall into the above (with the exception of Backdoor, Holy Chaos Ninpo).

- Q. What is 'Mechraid'?
- A. - A. No, you can't. 'Bolshack Dragon' on the creature side has an Armored race, but 'Duelist Charger' on the spell side has no race, and can't be used with Mechraid. source [2022.4.14]
- Q. How do you Mechraid while your opponent has Magatsukaze, Toberutsubasa in the battle zone?

- A. Yes, as long as the card has 'Armored' in its race, it can be used regardless of the card type. For example, if one of the 3 cards you saw during 'Armored Mechraid 8' was 'Bolshack Raider, Assault Dragon / Raid Entry', you can use either the creature side or the spell side.
