Mana Feed

Mana Feed is a slang term given to the abilities that put creatures or other cards in the battle zone into its owner's mana zone.

Details

It is a form of Removal belonging to cards in the Nature Civilization. It is often costed at the same costs as an equivalent Darkness card, e.g.; Terror Pit and Natural Snare, Ragmal, Spirit Knight and Necrodragon Abayo Shabayo.

While it does increase the amount of cards in your opponents mana zone, giving them more access to mana and allowing them to cast higher cost cards earlier, it's able to be used on a lot of creatures with abilities that prevent them from being destroyed. However, like bounce or other alternate removal from usual destroy effects, it has no effect on cards that can't leave the battle zone.

In small amounts, Mana Feed can also put cards from other zones into the mana zone, e.g.; Terradragon Dagradolgran (Shield) and Kishima Giant (hand).

Mana of the spells with the Mana Feed ability feature トラップ (Trap) in their name.

In the Dragon Saga block of sets, it was seen as 毒 (poison).
