Legend Card is a rarity in the Duel Masters trading card game.
It first appeared in DMR-17 Burning Dogiragon!!, replacing Victory Rare.
Characteristics[]
They are a new rarity introduced in DMR-17 Burning Dogiragon!! and replace Victory Rares as the top rarity. Despite their top rarity status, One box will always contain 2 Legend Cards making them much easier to obtain than Victory Rares, giving new players without much money a chance to obtain extremely powerful cards. Legend Cards features a gold "Legend" watermark above the Illustrator name in the card frame and also features a border colored depending on the card's civilization as well as full-frame artwork. If the Legend Card is of multiple civilizations, then the border will have all of the colors corresponding to the civilization. The artwork may protrude out of the card border.
In even-numbered sets, there's a chance that 3 Legend Cards will appear instead of 2 and if this happens, one of the Legend Cards will always be a duplicate as there are only 2 types of Legend Cards in the set, and it will also replace a Super Rare from the box, possibly preventing the player from getting the Super Rares he wants.
Just like Victory Rares, Legend Cards feature secret versions that appear 1 every 4 boxes. The secret rare patterns are a "Chibi" version of the creature, a Dramatic Card-like version, and a Gold Version, while starting from DMR-19 the "Dramatic Card" version was replaced by a gold chibi version. A carton (12 boxes) will include all secret rares.
It has 2 variations, Forbidden Legend Card and Final Forbidden Legend Card.
