**'''{{Gatherer|Jace, the Mind Sculptor}}''' originally appeared in the expansion "Worldwake" in the Eldrazi block of Magic: the gathering as a Mythic Rare (Which had the same packaging rate as [[Super Rare]]s in Duel Masters after [[Dragon Saga]]). Due to its absurdly low cost and its amazing jamming, draw and removal abilities as well as its ability to win the game all by itself using it's -12 ability, it is considered extremely powerful and players described it as one of the most broken cards in the game since the notorious {{gatherer|Skullclamp}}. As a result, it is known as "Shin Jace" (神ジェイス) by players due to its god-like abilities and copies of this card sold for over 10000 yen in the secondary market and foil versions are 3 to 4 times more expensive. Due to its sheer power and versatility, after more than 1 year the card was banned completely in the modern format.

He is a human planeswalker who is incredibly intelligent and adept with blue (Water) magic, capable of such talents as clairvoyance and illusion. He is also a member of the "The Gatewatch", a group of planeswalkers dedicated to protecting the multiverse.
