Increase Power (also known as Pump Up) refers to abilities that increase the power of a creature.

It is a basic effect that existed since DM-01 with cards such as Aura Blast. Although it exists in all of the civilizations, it is particularly common with the Fire and Nature civilizations as well as Light

Besides increasing strength in battle, they also become harder to destroy by Power Based Removal.
It originally referred to the ability of a creature to temporarily raise its own power, but was later used to detail cards that increased the power of other cards, or multiple creatures at once (such as by race).
While similar, the term usually doesn't include Power Attacker.
The opposite of this effect is Decrease Power.
