In 1999, they acquired Wizards of the Coast who handle the game design for the Duel Masters franchise.
Due to its position in franchise ownership, there are frequent collaborations between its various IP and Duel Masters.
In the past, the company didn't have a Japanese subsidiary, and had expanded its business in Japan by signing a business alliance agreement with Tomy (Takara Tomy after their merger).
In order to develop "My Little Pony" in Japan, it has also formed a business alliance with Bushiroad (a rival of Wizards of the Coast and Takara Tomy).
In 2018, the Japanese corporation "Hasbro Japan LLC" was established, and since then, products have been mainly deployed in Japan from the Japanese corporation, but some products such as Duel Masters continue to be deployed from Takara Tomy.
