Details
Rather than evolving over creatures in the battle zone, you may put an evolution creature that has Hand Evolution is put into the battle zone over a creature from your hand.
This is useful as you don't pay the mana costs for summoning the evolution source. However, it will consume a lot of hand advantage, so a deck should be built around this ability with draw spells to increase the chances of having the necessary cards in hand for Hand Evolution.
