Fire Bird is a race of creature primarily in the Fire Civilization.

Nomenclature

Many Fire Bird evolution creatures feature 火之鳥 (Hi no tori, Bird of Fire) as a suffix. This is often identified as a "Phoenix".

Gameplay

Each of the other civilizations also feature some mono-civilization Fire Birds.

Both Dragons, especially Armored Dragons and Fire Birds have many effects to complement each other in battle. Aside of Armored Dragons, other races, such as Phoenixes, Gods, Red Command Dragons and Mega Command Dragons receive support from them.

There are a few archetypes of Fire Birds introduced to the game. The first is a group of Fire Birds that feature Lupia in their name. Many of these Lupia creatures focus on supporting either Dragon or NEX creatures. Another set of Fire Birds introduced during the Awakening Saga feature Aini in their name, these creatures focus on the Double Cross archetype (Chai Aini) and Psychic Creatures (Shobu Aini and Reppi Aini). The third group of Fire Birds is the Pippi series who are introduced throughout Episode 1 of the DMR Series, usually supporting the Hunter race with few of them are even featured as Psychic cells of Hunter Psychic Super Creatures.

As most of them do not have over 2000 power, Fire Birds are extremely vulnerable to Power-Based Removal and also Decrease Power abilities such as Rose Castle. Due to the sheer frequency of this, the term "Roast Bird" Template:Kanji is often being used to refer to Fire Birds being removed by power-based removal and Rose Castle is often called "Roast Bird Castle". Template:Kanji

Story

Fire Birds are cute small birds that make their nests around the mouth of volcanoes. Easily identified by the fire at the tip of their tails, they coexist with Dragons. Fire Birds move quickly and are very curious and likable. Unlike other Fire creatures, they are not an aggressive race. However, if their nest is attacked, they fight back hard risking their lives. Not surprisingly, Fire Birds have a short life expectancy. When they sense their end is near, they dive into the mouth of a volcano. One out of a thousand Fire Birds comes back alive after the dive.
