Creeptastic is the 64th episode in the Sacred Lands season of the Duel Masters anime.
Plot[]
Yumama, empowered by a new evil armor that transforms her into a "Duelist Hunter," is determined to defeat all the other duelists. She now wields her new vortex evolution cards, which possess awakening power capable of manifesting real effects in the real world. Yumama has already summoned Cruel Naga, Avatar of Fate, while Shobu counters by summoning Soul Phoenix, Avatar of Unity. Using its power, Shobu manages to strip Yumama of her Duelist Hunter armor, and she begins to remember her past with Bucketman—how she discovered him in her garden and how they lived together in Zakira's castle, as Zakira is actually Yumama's older brother.
Yumama recalls that other children lived in the castle as well, and they all dueled together. But when Bucketman discovered something sinister happening in the castle, he tried to escape with Yumama. However, Yumama ultimately let him go, telling him that she couldn't leave without rescuing the other kids, even though she knew something was wrong. Zakira soon discovered her intentions and forced her to duel, ordering her to find the Awakening Cards. He threatened that if she failed, the other children would suffer.
Yumama loses the duel to Shobu, but immediately after the match, Soul Phoenix, Avatar of Unity begins to glow. Recognizing this, Zakira realizes that he has found another Awakening Card and another duelist who can wield its power.
Zakira challenges Shobu, stating that if Shobu wins, all the children will go free. However, if he loses, Zakira will claim the card. Shobu accepts the challenge, responding with confidence, "Bring it on." Zakira then points to Bucketman and reveals, "He will be your opponent, as he was the last owner of that card. To claim the Awakening Card, its previous owner must be defeated." With the stakes set, Shobu must win to save the children.
