Dragheart Fortresses are a Dragheart Fortress card type that was introduced in DMR-14 Wild Dragon Gaiglen.

Details

A Dragheart Fortress is put into the Hyperspatial Zone which is next to your graveyard at the start of the game. You can only have 8 cards in your hyperspatial zone and they are counted separately from your main deck of 40 cards. At any time during a duel, you are allowed to look at your opponent's hyperspatial zone.

Despite that a Dragheart Fortress is placed into the battle zone horizontally, they are not considered tapped as they do not have a "Tap" concept. Therefore, when flipped by Sword Saint Jigen, Awoken Dragon World, they are flipped untapped. They are unable to attack as they have no power, but they are capable of activating various effects while they are in the battle zone. If the Dragheart Fortress leaves the battle zone, it returns into the Hyperspatial Zone. When the Dragsolution requirement of the Dragheart Fortress is fulfilled, you may flip it to its creature side, transforming it into a stronger creature.

There are currently no ways to remove a Dragheart fortress specifically aside from using cards that remove specific cards from the battle zone such as Dias Zeta, the Temporal Suppressor. Therefore, Dragheart Creatures with Dragon Evade that return into Dragheart Fortresses are virtually impossible to remove completely without an effect that removes various cards from the battle zone.
