Destroy 破壊 (Hakai)

Destroying a creature means putting it into its owner's graveyard from the battle zone.

You can destroy your own creatures or your opponent's creatures. if a card tells you to destroy something, you can only choose a creature—not a cross gear, fortress, shield or a card in the mana zone unless the card says to specifically.

Destroying a creature and losing a battle against a stronger creature are two different things and should not be confused.
