They are the strongest Duelist team in Maihama Academy and its Student Council, whose actions heavily decide the policies of the school.
Initially, Bowie Obochiyama was a member of the group. But due to his incompetence and repeated loss streaks and Karen joining him to protect Win's club, he was kicked out from D4 after losing a duel to her new trump card, Chaosmantra, Holy and swapped places with her.
Fargo lost most of his decision rights within the group after his failed attempt to sabotage Win's club and cheating in his second duel with him, with Karen even reminding him of his position to make sure he knows that he's on thin ice there.
When entire groups of Maihama students became zombies, D4 launched a private investigation and each of its three members reported to Kaiser about their findings. However, Kaiser was tricked by DARK MATERIAL COMPLEX into thinking that Jashin-kun was the culprit and is unaware of Ugata and the sinister creature.

- It is similar to the White Soldiers led by Hakuoh, with Karen playing a similar role as Mimi Tasogare and Fargo playing a similar role as Benny Haha.
