Balga is a common name for Dragons.

Many of them have an Attack Trigger ability allowing you to put Dragons from the top of your deck into the battle zone for no cost.
These cards started a deck type known as Drama (Rendora), still used by many duelists.
- In the Episode 2 block, the Unknown race abused Balgas name to create Codename Balga Ragon.
- DMBD-05 Chronicle Legacy Deck 2018: Ultimate Balga Dragoncadia is a prebuilt deck with the motif of being a "Rendora Deck" of the past, containing 24 dragons that cost 8 or more.
- According to the flavor text of Balga Raiser, the Dragonic Meteor in this deck, "Balga" is a title give to Dragons with the ability to summon other dragons.
- Terradragon Balgazarmas doesn't have an ability to put a Dragon for no cost, but its Attack Trigger ability does involve revealing the top card of the deck, and the ability changes whether the card is a Dragon. Balga Zenigata, Armed Dragon also doesn't have an ability to put a Dragon for no cost, but can put Samurai from your hand.
