Akashic Plan is a term in the background story.

Details[]

It is a plan to transform living beings, which was carried out in the Water Civilization. There are differences in the setting between the TCG and Duel Masters Play's.

Although the background stories between the 2 games have similarities in the broad sense, they have different developments in detail. It is known that the Akashic Plan was carried out in both, but it is unclear whether they are the same plan or a similar but different one.

TCG[]

The research project that began in the background story of the Base Set.

The Cyber Lords, led by the Akashic Brothers, focused on the life force of Survivors and searched for a survival strategy by assimilating other organisms. Along with the Akashic Plan, which involved assimilating other organisms, they also researched a method of becoming other organisms themselves.

The Akashic Brothers consisting of Akashic Thales and Akashic Zenon led the project. Using the simulation device Akashic Record, they learned about the "Day of Judgment," the end of the Super Creature world. In an attempt to avoid it, Xenon planned to alter the world structure and rewrite the future. The Akashic Plan, which created new creatures by crossing different creatures, was the first plan for achieving this goal.

However, the Akashic Plan failed to avoid "Day of Judgment" and the project was frozen after the release of Akashic Final. The "Twinpact Plan," also known as the "Twin Promise Plan," which involved combining creatures with different powers, took over as the next project.

Duel Masters Play's[]

The plan to further promote the evolution of organisms was launched by the Water Civilization.

Although it had been frozen for a long time, it was reactivated as a means to counter the Infinite Army.

The research brought unexpected results, and the super organism Akashic Third, the Electro-Bandit, which can mimic any living creature, was born.

Other[]

The first appearance of cards related to the Akashic Plan is believed to be DM-13 Eternal Phoenix, which introduced three creatures: "Akashic First, Electro-Dragon", "Akashic Second, Electro-Spirit, and Akashic Third. At the time of their introduction, even the term "Akashic Plan" had not yet been used, and the connection between these creatures and the plan was only hinted at through their names and races.

The term first appeared in Duel Masters Play's with DMPP-04 REBELLION SYMPATHY. According to the background story disclosed in DMPP-04, the plan had been frozen for a long time but was restarted to counter against the Wave Striker. It was led by the Water Civilization and aimed to promote further evolution, resulting in the creation of the Akashic Third, which can mimic any living creature as a result of the research.

In the TCG, the term "Akashic Plan" first appeared in the flavor text of "Akashic Original, Cyber Armor revealing that it was led by the Cyber Lords and that "it was originally a study of Survivors to obtain their life force."

  • In addition, the flavor text of Akashic Parallel revealed that it was research to assimilate other organisms as well as exploration of a method to become the organism itself as a parallel study.

Flavor Text in DM22-EX1 mentioned the existence of the Akashic Brothers, which was further elaborated on in a Duetube video that was released around the same time. Here, it was revealed that the plan was to avoid the "Day of Judgment" as revealed by the Akashic Record, but the plan was frozen without achieving that goal, and the research results were passed on to the "Twin Promise Plan."

  • All creatures born from the Akashic Plan have the Cyber Lord race, and most of them are multicolored and multi-race creatures. Only Akashic Parallel, which is said to have been born from parallel research of the Akashic Plan, is a monocolored creature with only the Cyber Lord race.
  • The word "Akashic" often appears in the early background settings of the Water Civilization, not just in the "Akashic Plan." Representative examples include the aforementioned Akashic Record.
  • Railgun, Akashic Force features "Akashic" in its name, but its connection to this plan is unknown. Since it is not mentioned specifically in the flavor text or other sources outside of its name, its relationship to the plan seems weak.

List of Creatures[]
