Additional Break is a term for cards that allow your creatures to break additional shields.

It is often with the text of シールドをさらに1枚ブレイクする (break an additional shield), but may be written slightly differently on cards such as Ultimate "Shadow Tiger" Dragon.
In a broad sense, a Breaker keyword that allows your creatures to break more than one shields when they attack your opponent and break shields is a form of Additional Break, but this page details to non-Breaker abilities.

If a regular creature without a Breaker keyword gets an Additional Break of +1, it gets get the equivalency of Double Breaker (and so on for +2 and Triple Breaker).
The other main difference from Breaker abilities is that this can be stacked.
For example, a creature that receives the effect of "break an additional shield" twice is treated as being able to break 2 more shields, as well as working with Double Breaker to break 4 shields.
- Even if the Double Breaker and Triple Breaker keywords overlap on a creature, the number of breaks isn't increased.
This effect also applies to the number of breaks by a card ability. For example, with Mush Meganeil in the battle zone, if your first attack with Royal Straight Flush Kaiser, everything you win the Gachinko Judge, you will break 2 shields instead of 1.
Rulings[]
- While a rare situation, but it will also affect cards that break your own shields, even if it is done with a triggered ability.
- If you use Nothing Zero, Secret Destruction on DG ~The Thing Made By Man~ and tap that creature, you break 4 of your own shields and your opponents.
- When the shields are broken, the original break, the break by Breaker and additional break are all handled at the same time in the same way.
- For cards that say Break a Shield, it is the ability to choose and break a shield as the effect resolves, not an additional break. Treat them differently then the Additional Break cards.
