Cards with the Abyss Rush ability[]
Cards that give creatures the Abyss Rush ability[]
Rulings[]
- Q: What kind of ability is 'Abyss Rush'?
- A: A creature that has 'Abyss Rush' can be summoned from your graveyard. Just like summoning from your hand, you pay the cards mana cost printed on the card to summon it (A card such as Belle = Gelelle can be summoned by paying its cost of 2.). The creature summoned with this ability is able to attack your opponent during this turn, and if its in the battle zoe at the end of the turn, it will be put on the bottom of your deck. source [2022.9.9]
- Q: The creature(s) that I summoned with 'Abyss Rush' was destroyed during the turn with my opponent's Shield Trigger ability. At the end of the turn, will the creature(s) put into the graveyard be put on the bottom of my deck with the effect of 'Abyss Rush'?
- A: No, they aren't put on the bottom of your deck. A creature that was summoned by 'Abyss Rush' is only put on the bottom of your deck if they are in the battle zone at the end of the turn. If they are moved to another zone before then, they will stay in that zone. source [2022.9.9]
- Q: While Genmu Emperor, Infinite Dragon is in the battle zone, I used 'Abyss Rush' to summon a creature from my graveyard. Can that creature attack my opponent this turn?
- A: Yes. When they are summoned with 'Abyss Rush' the effect of 'this creature can attack players this turn and is put on the bottom of your deck at the end of the turn.' is already applied, so the creature can still attack your opponent even if the creatures abilities are ignored, and will still be put on the bottom of your deck at the end of the turn. source [2022.9.9]
- Q: I have Abyssbell = Jashin Emperor and 2 other darkness creatures in the battle zone. I summoned Jashin, Abyssal Ruler from my graveyard with 'Abyss Rush'. Can the 'Jashin, Abyssal Ruler' attack my opponent this turn?
- A: Yes, it can attack. Also, if it's a creature at the end of the turn, it will be put on the bottom of your deck. As you have 4 creatures, 'Jashin, Abyssal Ruler' becomes a creature and is able to attack your opponent that turn, and will be put on the bottom of your deck at the end of the turn. However, if the number of your darkness creatures was to decrease after that and 'Jashin, Abyssal Ruler' was no longer a creature, any effects that apply to creatures will no longer apply. If its no longer a creature at the end of the turn, it won't be put on the bottom of your deck. source [2022.9.20]
- Q: I only have Abyssbell = Jashin Emperor in the battle zone. I summoned Jashin, Abyssal Ruler from my graveyard with 'Abyss Rush'. If I got 2 more darkness creatures during my turn and 'Jashin, Abyssal Ruler' becomes a creature, can I attack my opponent with it?
- A: Yes, it can attack. Also, if a creature at the end of the turn, it will be put on the bottom of your deck. When they are summoned with 'Abyss Rush' the effect of 'this creature can attack players this turn and is put on the bottom of your deck at the end of the turn.' is already applied even if its put into the battle zone as a tamaseed, so if it becomes a creature after that, it can attack your opponent, and if its a creature at the end of the turn, it will be put on the bottom of your deck. source [2022.9.9]
- Q: My opponent has a tapped Donjungle Strong Seven in the battle zone. I summoned a Belle = Gelelle with 'Abyss Rush'. Where can I attack this turn?
- A: Creatures with 'Abyss Rush' can only attack your opponent and can't attack your opponent's creatures such as 'Donjungle Strong Seven'. source [2022.5.19]
- Q: I used 'Abyss Rush' to summon 3 creatures from my graveyard. At the end of the turn, what order do I put these 3 creatures on the bottom of my deck?
- A: You may put them on the bottom of your deck in any order. source [2022.6.23]
- Q: Are 'Tamaseed / Creatures' summoned with 'Abyss Rush' always put on the bottom of my deck at the end of the turn?
- A: They will be put on the bottom of your deck depending on the situation. If they meet the condition of being a creature at the end of your turn, they will be put on the bottom of your deck. However, if they don't meet the conditions of being a creature at the end of your turn, they won't be put on the bottom of your deck. For example, at the end of the turn that Jablood, Wicked Dragon is summoned with 'Abyss Rush', you can put other creatures summoned with 'Abyss Rush' on the bottom of your deck, and if you then have less than 3 or less darkness creatures and/or tamaseeds, 'Jablood, Wicked Dragon' won't be a creature and won't be put on the bottom of your deck. source [2022.6.23]
Trivia[]
- This ability is similar to Unearth ability from Magic the Gathering, albeit with different execution. Both abilities allows you to play creature from graveyard and attack with it for one chance before you lose the creature at the end of turn. The difference is Unearth exiles the creature, while Abyss Rush puts the card on the bottom of your deck.
